However, on occasion, other faction Lords can attack and kill this bandit group, since it's not part of the neutral faction. When you mouse over it, the background will be in blue and the letters for the name will be in white/blue/different than normal unit color (can't remember.) You can not mistake this special bandit group for another, due to this color scheme. The bandit unit you need to kill is, as FrenchOnion pointed out, is in blue. The only way to make it easier on yourself is to use cheats to remove the fog of war (CTRL-T), pause the game and then search every inch of the map until you find the unit. It is also the most annoying of all of the Bandit quests because of this. If you have the solo group that may have "moved out of the area", it can spawn anywhere on the map. The Pesky Bandit group quest spawns a group just outside the city, so it's relatively easy to do. They will usually spawn close to the city in which you received the quest, then attempt to linger in the area, unless they get chased by other Lords/Patrols. For that one, all you have to do is kill at least one group of the bandits in order be considered as completing it, but you're free to kill as many as you can find. If the five or so group quest is the one you have, it will say in the quest that you will be awarded xx Florins for each group you kill. If you have the 60 day quest, you likely have either the one involving five or so groups or one lone group. And, there's another that involves tracking down one lone group of bandits. There are two given by guildmasters, one of which involves one group of "Pesky Bandits" and another that involves several groups, usually five or so. There are several versions of the "Track down the bandits" type quests. I killed some kind of bandits somewhere around the village, but that doesn't finish the quest, and I can't seem to ever find the "right" bandits. Originally posted by gotta moose gotta moose:How do you do this? It says there were some villagers attacked on the way to villagename, and you're supposed to finish this within 60 days.
